In addition, the gimmicky vinyl reissues are just overkill and a clear sign that the record industry is out of ideas. So I'm not exactly over the moon about the sound quality of the double vinyl reissues. Like I said the audio is clearly sourced from the cd and now 'Brown Sugar' has just been reissued as an expanded cd, with some of the extra.
Brown sugar is a sucrose sugar product with a distinctive brown color due to the presence of molasses. It is either an unrefined or partially refined soft sugar consisting of sugar crystals with some residual molasses content (natural brown sugar), or it is produced by the addition of molasses to refined white sugar (commercial brown sugar). The Codex Alimentarius requires brown sugar to contain at least 88% of sucrose plus invert sugar.
