Grand Funk (commonly known as The Red Album) is the second studio album by American rock band Grand Funk Railroad. It was produced by Terry Knight and engineered by Ken Hamann. The album was certified gold by the RIAA, the first for the group. It includes a cover of The Animals' "Inside Looking Out" which is still a cornerstone of the band's live concerts today.

That Live Album is how I was introduced to GFR back in November 1970 when it came out. All of those songs are THe Best and yes the Blueprint for a Live Album ( KISS, Peter Frampton etc). I would have added the song Inside Looking Out but it wasn’t written by Grand Funk, it was written by Eric Burden. So that song doesn’t count (even though they ROCK the hell outta that song!) 1.
