Quality Roots Music is recorded all the while but this album rises above it all. Some artists save the best for last. Leonard never lost his powerful voice and to complement it with the Silvertones is genius. The production and engineering quality brings the listener back to a time when the roots were embedded in the original foundation. This album is extra classic and will not become stock on a shelf. Dillon, perhaps more known as ‘The Ethiopian’ these days, has been in the business for more than forty years by now. Originally he was recording as ‘Jack Sparrow’, then he formed The Ethiopians with local friend Stephen Taylor, and together they were responsible for a bunch of memorable hits and a strong catalog of songs that is hard to match by todays standards. Who can forget such songs as ‘Train To Skaville’, ‘Hong Kong Flu’, ‘Everything Crash’ or ‘I’m Gonna Take Over Now’? These are almost evergreens within the reggae sphere. But still you’ve done a few in that style, using new technology, for people like Coxson. That is drum machine, but there’s a drummer on the new album that is out now, ‘Mystic Man’ – you got that one? No, not yet. OK.

The voice is as powerful as ever, but On the Road Again is let down by the reggae light arrangements, all positively jaunty throughout, perhaps appropriate for a lightweight positive reggae performer, but deathly for a cultural singer like Dillon. The artist self-produced this set, so he has no one to blame but himself, although why musicians the caliber of Earl "Chinna" Smith and Lloyd Parkes didn't attempt to provide a bit more appropriate atmosphere is equally inexplicable. There are some strong songs here, just discernible under the overly cheery keyboards and perky beats
