The Greenbriar Boys were a northern bluegrass music group who first got together in jam sessions in New York's Washington Square Park. In 1959, guitarist/vocalist John Herald formed The Greenbriar Boys, along with Bob Yellin (banjo) and Eric Weissberg (fiddle, mandolin, banjo).

Better Late Than Never is the debut live album by the AndersonPonty Band, released in September 2015. Better Late Than Never (Cold River Lady album). Better Late Than Never is the first studio album by Cold River Lady. It was recorded in 1992, produced by Pete Brown, and mixed by Pete Kerr. Different Drum" is a song written by Michael Nesmith in 1965 and first recorded by the northern bluegrass band the Greenbriar Boys and included on their 1966 album, Better Late than Never!. Nesmith offered the song to the Monkees, but the producers of the TV show, who had wide control over the group's musical output early on, turned him down. The song became popular in 1967 when recorded by the Stone Poneys featuring Linda Ronstadt, who took their version of "Different Drum" to on the Cash Box Top 100, on the Billboard. The AndersonPonty Band is a progressive rock supergroup formed in Summer 2014, centered around French violinist Jean-Luc Ponty and singer/songwriter and founding member of Yes, Jon Anderson. Jean-Luc Ponty was originally approached by Jon Anderson with the idea of working together as far back as the 1980s, but the idea didn't come to fruition until about 30 years later

Better Late Than Never is the debut full-length album by the ska/reggae band The Slackers, originally released in 1996 on Moon Ska Records. It was later remastered and re-released with three additional tracks from the original recording sessions on March 19, 2002 through Special Potato Records. The album was a notable debut for the band, paving the way for their eventual signing to Hellcat Records. It was also a significant departure from the 2 Tone and garage rock influences of the band's early days, instead opting for a sound akin to the traditional ska acts of 1960s Jamaica.
